Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher (Maternity Leave Replacement)to join our team from August 5 - October 31, 2024. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages.
Responsibilities:
-Teaches general music to KG - 7th grade including harmony, appreciation, history, and ensemble.
- Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that areappropriate for the ages and skill levels of students.
- Implement the lesson plans and curriculum provided, that builds understanding of music and includes soprano recorder and ukulele instruction.
-Collaborate with other faculty members to prepare students for Winter performances.
- Coperation with Head of School and staff in providing musical programs for school assemblies, openhouse, parent meetings and seasonal programs.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
Qualifications & Requirements
Ÿ Minimum BA in Music or Music Education
Ÿ Ability to work with musicians at all skill levels
Ÿ Strong instrumental skills, including ukulele and recorder
Ÿ A strong knowledge of differentiation strategies
Ÿ Open-minded, enthusiastic, and demonstrates a willingness to embrace a unique, multicultural school culture
Ÿ Must have an interest in working at school that strongly supports and embraces Mandarin and Spanish language and culture
